GPT Image 2.5 Flare

GPT Image 2.5 Flare is the speed-focused tier of OpenAI's GPT Image 2.5 series, run at medium quality through OpenRouter. A square image at that setting used 439 image tokens in our test run, which is why it costs 20 credits, far less than GPT Image 2. It returns up to four images per run and accepts up to sixteen reference photos, each adding 76 credits for OpenAI's input image charge.

GPT Image 2.5 Flare is made by OpenAI. Prompt Generator is independent and not affiliated with OpenAI; we run the model through OpenRouter.

Best for

  • Everyday images in volume
  • Several OpenAI-style options for little credit
  • Quick text-to-image drafts

Tips

  • Ask for four images per run: a set of four is 80 credits.
  • For dense layouts or lots of text in the image, try GPT Image 2.5 Sunburst at the same price.
  • References add 76 credits each, so a prompt alone is the cheap way to use this model.

Questions

1How many credits does GPT Image 2.5 Flare use?
20 credits per image, up to 4 images per run, each billed at that price. Each reference photo adds 75 credits. If a run fails, the credits go back to your balance; runs stopped by the model's safety filter are refunded up to 10 times a day.
2What can I give GPT Image 2.5 Flare besides a prompt?
Up to 16 reference photos (PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 12 MB each). Leave them out and pick Create image to work from the prompt alone, or add them and pick Edit photo. Output sizes: 1:1, 4:3, 3:4, 16:9 or 9:16.
3Can I use what I make with GPT Image 2.5 Flare in paid work?
Yes, when you made it on a paid plan or after buying credits. Results made only with the free sign-up credits are for personal, non-commercial use. Anything you upload must be yours to use, and people shown in it must have agreed.
