Refund policy
How Prompt Generator handles refunds: credits returned automatically when a prompt tool or studio run fails, cancelling a subscription, credit expiry, and when a plan, top-up or Lifetime payment can be refunded.

Prompt Generator gives two kinds of refund. Credits come back to your balance on their own when a run fails. Money goes back to your card when you ask for it and the payment qualifies. Both are explained here, and this policy forms part of the Terms.
Prompt tool runs
A run that fails, for example because the model that writes prompts is busy or unreachable, does not count against your free daily allowance, and if it cost a credit, that credit goes back to your balance. A run that finishes counts even if you do not use the prompt. If you stop a run yourself before it finishes, it still counts.
Studio runs that fail
A studio run takes its credits when it starts. If it ends without a result, every credit it took goes back to your balance automatically, and you do not need to ask. This applies when a run:
- could not start, for example because the gateway could not be reached,
- failed, was cancelled or expired at the model provider (rejections by a safety filter are covered in the next section),
- took too long and timed out, or
- was cut off by a restart of our servers.
Some tools work in two steps, such as kiss and hug videos made from two photos. They charge for both steps at the start and return the whole amount if either step fails. You can see every charge and refund in your credit history, and How credits work in the help center explains prices and balances.
Blocked requests
When our checks block a prompt or an upload, nothing runs and no credits are taken. When a model provider's safety filter rejects a studio run after it has started, we return the credits for up to 10 such rejections in any 24 hours; further rejections in the same 24 hours keep their credits. If an account sends 5 prompts that our checks block within 24 hours, studio generation pauses for that account for up to 24 hours. What is not allowed is listed in the content policy.
Results you are not happy with
A prompt or a studio result that was delivered is not refunded because you do not like it: the providers charge us for every completed run. If a studio result is plainly broken, such as an empty or corrupted file, send us a message through the contact page with the date and the tool, and we will take a look.
Studio runs that use your own OpenRouter or fal key cost no credits, so there is nothing for us to refund. Charges on your provider account are between you and that provider.
Subscriptions and cancelling
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. Current plans and prices are on the pricing page. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from your billing page: Change plan switches plans, and Cancel plan cancels. Moving to a higher plan, or from monthly to yearly billing on the same plan, applies at once: you pay the price difference, and the matching credits are added straight away. Moving to a lower plan, or from yearly to monthly billing, starts at your next renewal; until then you keep your current plan. Once you cancel:
- no further payments are taken,
- your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and then your account moves to the free plan,
- the credits in your balance stay there.
Do credits expire?
Credits from plans, top-ups, sign-up, referrals and accepted templates do not expire. Two kinds are the exception: daily check-in credits expire 30 days after you claim them, and the credits that come with Lifetime expire 12 months after the payment. Both are spent before your other credits. Expired credits are not refunded.
Refunds of payments
You can ask for a refund of a subscription payment, monthly or yearly, a credit top-up or Lifetime within 14 days of the charge, provided none of the credits that payment added have been spent. In practice, your balance must still hold at least as many credits as that payment added. We then refund the payment in full and remove those credits from your balance. A full refund of Lifetime also ends Lifetime and removes the credits that came with it.
Past 14 days, or once any credits from the payment have been used, the payment cannot be refunded unless the law requires it.
Free credits have no cash value, so there is never a refund for them.
We always give a full refund for:
- duplicate charges and billing mistakes on our side, and
- the unused part of the credits you paid for, if we close your account when you have not broken the Terms, or if we shut Prompt Generator down.
Your right of withdrawal
If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from purchases of digital services. When you start a run that uses paid credits, you ask us to provide the service straight away and agree that you lose the right of withdrawal for the credits you use. Credits you have not used are covered by the 14-day refund described above.
How to ask for a refund
Send us a message through the contact page while signed in, and give the date and amount of the charge. An approved refund goes back to your original payment method through Stripe; banks usually show it within 5 to 10 business days.
Please contact us before you dispute a charge with your bank. A chargeback for a charge you made can lead to your account being suspended and the credits from that payment being removed.
