Credits are the one paid unit on Prompt Generator. Every studio model and every prompt run past the free allowance draws from the same balance.

What uses credits

  • Studio generations. Each model has a credit price per image, per second of video, per job or per 1,000 characters of speech. The Generate button shows the exact price for your settings before anything is spent, and each model page lists its price.
  • Prompt runs past the free allowance. On a free account, after the free prompts for the day, each prompt tool run costs 1 credit. On Lifetime, runs past 1,000 in a month or 100 in a day cost 1 credit a run. See Using the prompt tools.

Paid plans have no daily limit on the prompt tools, so their credits go to the studio.

Where credits come from

  • Signup. New accounts get 60 credits once, when the email address is confirmed. With Google they arrive straight away. With an email and password they arrive when you open the link in the confirmation email we send after sign-up.
  • Plans. Each paid invoice adds the plan's credits: one month at a time on monthly billing, twelve months at once on yearly billing.
  • Top-ups. A one-time purchase that adds credits without a subscription. See Top-ups.
  • Daily check-in. Signed-in accounts can claim a few credits a day on the free credits page. The reward grows with your streak and starts again at day 1 if you miss a day.
  • Inviting friends. When someone signs up with your invite link and makes a first purchase, you both get credits.
  • Templates. Each suggestion we accept into the prompt library adds credits. See Sharing your work and suggesting templates.

The current amounts for plans and top-ups are on the pricing page. The check-in, invite and template rewards are on the free credits page.

Yearly billing is 20% off and adds twelve months of credits at once.

Refunds in credits

If a studio generation fails, for example because the model returns an error or the job runs too long, its credits go back to your balance on their own and the result card says "Credits were refunded." A prompt run that fails on our side is given back the same way.

A request our content check blocks is stopped before anything is charged. A rejection by a model's own safety filter is refunded up to a daily limit; Why was my request blocked explains it.

Money back for a plan or top-up payment is a different process; see Requesting a refund.

Your credit history

The Credits page in your account shows your balance and every movement: signup credits, subscription and top-up credits, check-ins, invite and template rewards, studio generations, prompt runs, refunds and expired check-in credits, each with the balance after it.

Expiry

Credits from signup, plans, top-ups, invites and templates do not expire. Check-in credits expire 30 days after you claim them, and Lifetime credits 12 months after the payment. Do credits expire covers the rest, including what happens when you cancel.
