The studio is where prompts become images, video and audio. You can open it and set everything up without an account; you are asked to sign in when you upload a file or press Generate.
Bring a prompt
Any of these gets you to the studio with a prompt ready:
- From a prompt tool. Write an image or video prompt with the image prompt generator or the video prompt generator, then press Run in studio.
- From the library. Open an image or video prompt in the prompt library and press Use this prompt.
- From a studio tool. Open a page from the tools list, such as the AI image generator, and fill in its fields instead of writing a prompt.
- Your own words. Open the studio and type the prompt yourself.
Run it
-
In the studio, choose what you are making: an image, a photo edit, a video from text or from an image, speech, music and so on.
-
Pick a model. The list shows only models that can do what you chose. Each model page explains what a model is good at.
-
Add a photo, video or audio file if the mode needs one. See Uploading photos.
-
Set the aspect ratio, video length or number of images where the model offers them.
-
Check the price on the Generate button. It changes with the model, the number of images and the video length.
-
Press Generate. If you are not signed in, sign up with an email and password or continue with Google. Your prompt and settings are kept while you sign in.
-
Watch the result card. It shows "In queue", then "Generating", then the result.
When the result is ready
- Download saves the file to your device.
- Share puts the result in the public gallery or suggests it for the prompt library. Nothing is public until you choose this. See Sharing your work and suggesting templates.
- Every result stays in My generations.
Limits on free accounts
New accounts get 60 credits once. Some models cost more than that for one image or clip, so check the Generate button and choose a cheaper model if you need to. Accounts without a paid plan can start a limited number of generations per hour; paid plans have no hourly limit. On every plan, only a few generations can run at the same time, and you are asked to wait for one to finish if you start too many.
If something goes wrong
- "Generation failed" means the model returned an error or the job ran too long. The card says "Credits were refunded." and the credits are back in your balance.
- "This request was blocked" or "This prompt can't be generated" means our content check stopped it before it started, so nothing was charged.
- "Blocked by the safety filter" means the model provider refused it. See Why was my request blocked.
- "This needs ... credits" means your balance is too low. Buy a top-up, claim a check-in on the free credits page or choose a plan.
