Your profile page shows your name and email. The name can be changed there; the password and email work as described below.
Change your name
Open your profile page, edit Name and save. Shared items and library templates never show your name.
Change your password
Use the reset flow. It works the same whether you forgot your password or just want a new one, and whether or not you are signed in.
-
Go to /forgot-password and enter the email you sign in with.
-
Open our email and select Choose a new password.
-
Enter the new password twice and select Set new password.
Passwords need at least 8 characters. Afterwards you are signed in with the new password and every other device is signed out. Reset your password has the details on the link.
Add a password to a Google account
If you signed up with Continue with Google, your account has no password. Add one with the same reset flow, then sign in with either Google or the password.
Change your email address
If you signed up with an email and password and have not confirmed it yet, fix a typo yourself: choose Wrong address? on the banner at the top of the page, enter the right address and we send a new confirmation link there.
Once an email is confirmed, it cannot be edited on the profile page yet. To change it:
- Sign in, then send us a message from the support button or the contact page, so we know the request comes from the account holder.
- Tell us the new address.
- We update the account and confirm.
Your credits, plan, saved prompts, results and credit history stay with the account.
Accounts that use Google
If you sign in with Google, say so when you write. The Google link stays with your account after the change, and you can add a password for the new address with the reset flow.
If you cannot reach your old inbox
We need to confirm the account is yours before moving it. Write from the new address with as much as you can: roughly when you signed up, your plan, and the date and amount of a recent payment. We may not be able to move an account we cannot verify.
