Stripe handles every payment. We never see your card number, so a payment is always fixed on Stripe's pages.

Declined at checkout

If your card is declined on the Stripe checkout page, nothing is bought: no subscription starts and no credits are added. Try another card on the same page, or go back to the pricing page and start again.

A renewal fails

Plan credits are added when Stripe marks the invoice for that period as paid. When a renewal payment fails:

  • we email you, with the date of the next attempt when Stripe has scheduled one,
  • no credits are added for the new period yet,
  • while the subscription is unpaid, the account works like a free account: the daily prompt allowance applies and studio generations have an hourly limit,
  • the credits already in your balance stay and you can keep using them.

When the invoice is paid, the plan's credits are added and the plan is active again. The Billing page of your account shows the subscription status next to the plan.

If the subscription ends without being paid, the account stays free and keeps its balance.

How to fix it

  1. Open the Billing page and select Invoices and billing.

  2. In the Stripe billing portal, update your payment method.

  3. Check the invoice list for an unpaid invoice and pay it if the portal offers that.

Cards are often declined because they have expired, do not allow online or international payments, or tripped a bank fraud check. Your bank can tell you the exact reason.

Credits did not arrive after paying

After a checkout, your account says "Payment received" and the credits appear as soon as Stripe confirms the payment, usually within seconds. Check the Credits page again after a minute. If they are still missing, contact us with the date and amount of the charge.

Note

If you would rather stop the subscription than fix the payment, cancel it with Cancel plan on the Billing page. See Cancel your subscription.
