The prompt tools turn a rough idea into a prompt written for one AI tool. They work without an account, on a phone or a computer.

Write a prompt

  1. Open the prompt generator and choose Prompt (chat assistants), Image or Video. Pages such as the Claude prompt generator or the video prompt generator open with the right choice already made.

  2. Pick the target: the tool you will paste the prompt into.

  3. Describe what you want. A sentence or two is enough; say who it is for, what the result should look like and anything it must include. You can also start from one of the example ideas on the page.

  4. Open Options if you want to change the defaults (see below), then press Generate, or Ctrl+Enter (Cmd+Enter on a Mac). The prompt appears as it is written.

The idea box takes up to 1,500 characters.

Targets

KindTargets
PromptChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Any assistant
ImageMidjourney, Nano Banana, GPT Image, FLUX, Seedream, Stable Diffusion
VideoVeo, Seedance, Sora, Kling, Runway

Each target gets its own structure. A Claude prompt puts context and instructions in XML tags, a Midjourney prompt ends with parameters such as the aspect ratio, a Stable Diffusion prompt comes with a negative prompt, and a Veo prompt describes the shot, the camera and the sound. Choose Any assistant when the prompt is for a chat tool not on the list.

Options

  • Prompt: tone (neutral, friendly, formal, persuasive, playful), answer length (short, medium, long) and prompt detail.
  • Image: aspect ratio, style (auto, photo, cinematic, illustration, 3D render, anime, product shot) and prompt detail.
  • Video: duration (5, 8 or 10 seconds), camera move (auto, static, dolly in, orbit, handheld, drone), style and prompt detail.

Prompt detail sets how long the prompt is: Lean for a short prompt you will edit yourself, Standard for most jobs, Thorough when the target should get every detail spelled out.

Refine the result

Under the prompt are one-click changes:

  • Shorter and More detail on every kind of prompt.
  • Add an example and More formal on chat prompts.
  • Try for another target, which rewrites the same prompt for a different tool, for example from ChatGPT to Claude or from Midjourney to Nano Banana.

Each refine counts as one run. If you want something specific changed, edit your idea and generate again.

Copy, open, save and share

  • Copy puts the prompt on your clipboard.
  • Open in ChatGPT and Open in Claude open a new chat with the prompt already filled in.
  • Run in studio (image and video prompts) opens the studio with the prompt in the box, so you can render it on an image or video model. Studio generations cost credits; see How credits work.
  • Save keeps the prompt. Signed in, it goes to My generations under the Text tab. Signed out, it is kept in this browser only.
  • Share puts a saved prompt in the public gallery or suggests it for the prompt library. See Sharing your work and suggesting templates.

Square brackets in a prompt, such as [YOUR NAME] or [PRODUCT], are placeholders. Replace them with your own details before you paste the prompt into the target tool.

Image to prompt

Image to prompt writes a prompt from a picture:

  1. Add a JPG, PNG or WebP image under 4 MB. You can also paste one.

  2. Choose the image model the prompt is for, or Any model.

  3. Choose what to capture: the whole image, the style only or the subject only. Add a short note if you want a change, such as "make it night".

  4. Press Generate.

Each image counts as one run of your daily allowance. The image is used to write the prompt and is not saved to your account. Images that break the content rules are refused.

The daily allowance

WhoFree prompts a dayAfter that
No account10 on each deviceSign in for more, or come back the next day
Free account (email confirmed)201 credit per run, from your balance
LifetimeUp to 100, within 1,000 a month1 credit a run, from your balance
Paid planNo daily limitNothing extra
  • Every prompt tool on the site shares the same count, including image to prompt and refines.
  • The count resets every day at 00:00 UTC. The Lifetime monthly count resets on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC.
  • Several devices on the same network also share a cap, so a shared office or school connection can run out sooner.
  • If you send many prompts within a minute, you are asked to wait a moment. On Lifetime, after many runs within an hour you may be asked to confirm you're a person before the next one.
  • A run that fails on our side is given back. A prompt our content check blocks is not counted.

Signing up is free and adds 60 credits to your balance once. With an email and password, open the link we email you first: until then the account cannot run the tools, even if this device still has free tries left. The free credits page shows how many free prompts you have left today and other ways to earn credits.
