What each part of the prompt does
- Seen only from behind
- Keeping the walker's back to the camera removes the hardest part of AI video, a face that shifts between frames, and lets the figure be anyone.
- One accent colour
- The red umbrella is the only saturated warm object against pink and teal neon, so it stays readable even when the frame is busy with reflections.
- Low camera, full puddles
- Putting the camera close to the ground fills the lower third with reflections, which is where most of the colour and movement in the shot comes from.
- Signs without text
- "Blank neon signs with no readable text" avoids scrambled lettering and invented shop names, two common faults in night city clips.
Variations to try
Same idea, one thing changed. These have no clip yet.
Snow instead of rain An adult in a long dark coat holding a red umbrella, seen only from behind, walks down a narrow alley at night. Motion: steady, unhurried steps through fresh snow, flakes settling on the umbrella. Camera: low tracking shot following from behind at walking pace. Setting and light: snow-covered stone, blank neon signs in pink and teal with no readable text, heavy snowfall catching the glow. Style: cinematic, shallow depth of field, cold blue and magenta grade. Sound: muffled footsteps in snow, a distant city hum. Duration: 5 seconds.
Walking toward camera An adult in a long dark coat walks toward the camera down a narrow alley at night, a red umbrella held low so it hides the face. Motion: steady steps through shallow puddles. Camera: slow pull back at walking pace, keeping the umbrella centred. Setting and light: wet stone, blank neon signs in pink and teal with no readable text, light rain catching the glow. Style: cinematic, shallow depth of field, rich reflections. Sound: rain on the umbrella, footsteps in water. Duration: 5 seconds.
If the result isn't right
- If the walker drifts out of frame, add "the figure stays centred in frame" to the camera line.
- For a lonelier mood, change the steps to "slow, tired steps" and the grade to "cold blue".
- Keep the umbrella red in every version. A black umbrella disappears against the wet stone and the shot loses its focal point.
