About these prompts

Cinematic video prompts describe a short film moment shot by shot: what is in frame, what moves, where the camera goes, the light and the sound. These are written for Seedance 2.0 and sized for 5-second clips, so each one has a clear start and end instead of a scene that never resolves.

None of them depend on a face or a real place. The subjects are weather, vehicles and figures seen from behind, which keeps clips steady from frame to frame and safe to post. Each page explains why each line is there and gives two variations to try.

How to use these prompts

  1. 101Copy the prompt as writtenPaste the full prompt into Seedance 2.0 in the studio or any app that runs it. Keep the shot lines in order, because the model reads them as a sequence.
  2. 202Set the duration and ratioChoose 5 seconds and the aspect ratio shown on the prompt. A 5-second clip has room for one or two shots, so keep that limit if you add your own.
  3. 303Change one line at a timeTo make it yours, swap the setting, the colour or the weather, and leave the camera line alone until the first result looks right.

Questions

1What makes a video prompt cinematic?
Camera direction and light. A cinematic prompt says where the camera is and how it moves, names the light source and the colour grade, and keeps the action simple enough to read in a few seconds.
2Can I use these with Veo, Kling or Sora?
Yes, the shot by shot structure works with most video models. Remove the Shot labels for models that prefer one paragraph, and check the duration and ratios each model supports.
3Why are there two shots in only 5 seconds?
Each shot gets about two and a half seconds, which is enough for one action or one camera move. Prompts that need more than two beats belong in a 10-second clip.
4How many credits does a Seedance 2.0 clip cost?
Seedance 2.0 is 220 credits per second in our studio, so a 5-second clip is 1,100 credits. The prompts themselves are free to copy.
