About these prompts

Social video prompts are written vertical first, for Reels, TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Each one is a 5-second, 9:16 clip with a small event in it, a lamp switching on or milk drawing a heart, so the clip has a reason to be watched to the end.

They avoid the things that give AI video away on a phone screen: faces, screens with interface on them and readable text. That leaves room for your own caption, and each prompt notes where in the frame text fits best.

How to use these prompts

  1. 101Generate in 9:16Pick the vertical ratio before you generate. Cropping a 16:9 clip to vertical loses most of the frame and the composition the prompt was written for.
  2. 202Plan the caption spaceMost of these clips end on a calm area of the frame. Put your text there, and keep it clear of the bottom fifth, which app buttons cover.
  3. 303Extend with your editorFor a longer background, crossfade the end of the clip into its start or slow it down slightly. Gentle motion hides the join.

Questions

1Why only 5 seconds?
Five seconds is the shortest Seedance 2.0 duration and enough for one small event. It also loops well, and you can join several clips into a longer post.
2Can I add music instead of the generated sound?
Yes. Each prompt has a sound line for Seedance's built-in audio, but you can mute it and add a track in the app you post from.
3Why are there no people in these prompts?
Faces and full bodies are the hardest thing to keep consistent in a short clip. Where a person helps, the prompts show only a hand or a figure from behind.
4Will these work as Pinterest or story backgrounds?
Yes. The same 9:16 frame fits Instagram and Facebook stories and Pinterest video pins. Keep the text short so it stays readable on a phone.
