About these prompts

These writing prompts are templates for the writing jobs that come up every week: planning a blog post around a keyword, turning rough notes into a newsletter issue, and rewriting a dense draft so anyone can follow it. Each one has fields in square brackets, such as [KEYWORD] or [AUDIENCE], that you replace with your own details before you paste it.

Every prompt is written for one assistant and follows how that assistant reads instructions best: XML tags for Claude, a role with labelled parts for ChatGPT, and task-first numbered steps for Gemini. Each page explains why the parts are there, so you can adapt the template without breaking it.

How to use these prompts

  1. 101Pick the job, not the toolOpen the prompt that matches what you are writing. If you use a different assistant from the one it was written for, it still works, and the generator can rewrite it for your tool.
  2. 202Fill every bracketReplace each [FIELD] with real details: your notes, your reader, your word count. The more specific the fields, the less the output sounds like anyone else's writing.
  3. 303Edit the draft yourselfTreat the answer as a first draft. Check facts, cut what does not sound like you and run a variation if the structure is wrong rather than rewording the whole prompt.

Questions

1Can I use a Claude prompt in ChatGPT or Gemini?
Yes. All three assistants follow the others' formats reasonably well. For the best result, paste the prompt into our generator and pick your assistant as the target to get a version written in its preferred structure.
2What are the words in square brackets?
They are fields to fill in, such as [READER] or [NOTES]. Replace each one, including the brackets, with your own details. Each prompt page lists what every field expects.
3Will the AI make up facts in my writing?
It can, which is why these prompts tell the assistant to use only the material you give it and to mark gaps with a placeholder such as [CHECK] or [ADD SOURCE]. Search for those markers before you publish.
4Are these prompts free to use?
Yes. Copy them, change them and use them for personal or commercial writing. You do not need an account to copy a prompt.
