About these prompts

Couple photo prompts turn one photo of the two of you into a styled picture: an instant-camera hug, a rainy evening under one umbrella, a mountain pre-wedding shoot or a 1950s studio portrait. Each prompt tells the model to keep both faces and change everything else.

Each one below shows the sample couple photo that went in and the Nano Banana Pro result that came out. The couple in the sample photo is AI-generated.

How to use these prompts

  1. 101Use one photo with both facesPick a photo where both of you face the camera, close together, in good light. Two separate photos also work if you say which person is in which photo.
  2. 202Paste the prompt with the photoSend the prompt in the same message as the photo in Gemini, or in ChatGPT with image generation on. Swap clothes or places in the text to suit you.
  3. 303Fix who is whoIf clothes land on the wrong person, say "the person on the left" and "the person on the right" as the prompts do, and ask for one more try.

Questions

1Can I use two separate photos instead of one?
Yes. Upload both photos in one message and replace "the two people in my uploaded photo" with "the person in the first photo and the person in the second photo". Faces hold up better when both photos are similar in light and angle.
2Why do our faces change or swap?
Two faces are harder for an image model to keep than one. Use a sharp photo where both faces are large and unobstructed, keep the line asking for both faces to stay the same, and retry once before rewording.
3Do these work for same-sex couples?
Yes. The prompts describe people as the person on the left and the person on the right, so you can give either person any outfit by editing those lines.
4Which app should I use?
These prompts were written for Gemini (Nano Banana), and the examples were made with Nano Banana Pro. ChatGPT follows most of them too, though it may change faces more.
